渡部先生が子供のころ、山形の田舎で父親が本屋の主人にこう言ったそうです。
In a rather pompous manner my father said to the shopkeeper, “When my boy wants to buy any book in your shop,please charge it to my account.”
もちろん日本語（山形弁？）で言ったはずですが英語で書かれた論文なので英訳されています。
